This recipe for Chicken Corn Soup is a quick and easy one to make. Since none of the ingredients are raw, it doesn't need to cook very long -- just long enough for it to get hot.
Ingredients for Chicken Corn Soup:
* 1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
* 1 small can chicken
* 1 (1 lb) can creamed style corn
* 3 cups milk
* chopped parsley - optional, for garnish
Directions:
Combine all ingredients, except the parsley. Heat gently until it is hot, but not boiling. Sprinkle with parsley, if desired for a colorful garnish.
Makes 6 appetizer size servings or 3 main dish servings.
If you have leftover cooked chicken or turkey, cut it into small pieces and use that instead of the canned chicken.
This is also good made with canned ham instead of canned chicken.
If you don't have condensed cream of chicken soup to use as the soup base, it's fine to use a condensed cream of celery soup or condensed cream of mushroom soup.
If serving this Chicken Corn Soup as your main dish, accompany it with toast or crackers, and raw fruit such as apple slices or strawberries.
